The New Zealand National Eye Bank meeting with the Bereavement Care Services team at Middlemore Hospital
The New Zealand National Eye Bank had a meeting with the Bereavement Care Services (BCS) team at Middlemore Hospital in the last week of October 2022.
The BCS team supports whanau/family by offering a professional caring guide through this challenging journey. They are available 24/7 to help navigate the medical and legal processes.
BCS is also an Eye Bank partner, checking eligibility, raising the option of eye donation, and obtaining consent, to bring the gift of sight to people needing a transplant.
We thank you on behalf of everyone touched by the donor’s gift.
